This piece came from distant China, specifically in the city of Canton where used to cross Manila, the capital of the Philippines, and from there to the ports of New Spain. Considering the demand for the product it has been sent to Spain since sixteenth century. Manila shawls were made of silk and silk embroidery in one or more colors. Later the embroidery
