The Flamenco Fan has been presented to Spain via Eugenio Prost a French craftsman. Since then Spain has become one of the principle producers of fan in the world. In the same year The Gremio of the Abaniqueros is being established and in the beginning of the XIX contrary the Real Factory of Fans starts its activity. At first the use of fans was for both women and men. Men used to carry small fans in their pocket. Nowadays the only school-workshop of fan fabrication in situated in Cádiz although all the professional and artistic material can be found in Aldaya, a city situated by Valencia then from this city that get exported for all over the world.
